hi guys, i'm banana-anna! (⸝⸝> ᴗ•⸝⸝) i'm a college senior majoring in art and english, and although my heart lies with the humanities, i have a deep interest in coding. i was so inspired by everyone's websites here on neocities that i had to give it a shot. but... i've only taken one class in cs (╥﹏╥) i'm the most novice of novices when it comes to web development. as a result, this project has been a little daunting so far, but my excitement for learning about coding and internet culture is keeping me optimistic! please let me know in the comments if something is bugged and i will try my hardest to learn and fix it! bring back old media!!!

you'll hear more about this in both the archive section, but BRING BACK OLD MEDIA! my heart oozes every time i see someone throw away their old technology or refuse to teach their kids about the world of vhs tapes, cassettes, cds, etc. ( ꩜ ᯅ ꩜;) as an archivist, my passion is preserving the past. i still use my ipod classic, walkman, dvds, and nintendo ds for entertainment. there's so much joy in disconnecting from algorithms that are designed to shove new! new! new! in your face and consume media that YOU downloaded and YOU have control over. as developers of personal websites, i'm sure that many of you share this sentiment--the golden age of media was when we had the freedom to express ourselves. let’s work hard to end this tech/media illiteracy! ദ്ദി ˉ͈̀꒳ˉ͈́ )✧
